Spring Highpoint Furniture Market Day 1

Highpoint Furniture Market is always a whirlwind of parties, friends and an overload of furniture, accessories and art but boy is it fun!

( If you follow my Instagram account "bridgetbeari" you saw my top trends for the up coming season. )

Here are my top finds from Day 1 - Fall Market 2015.

We have learned a few new tricks after years of attending the market. Our newest one is coming in on Friday morning. Shops are open and all the good deals happen on Friday.

First stop is always Verellen and Textures Imports: Leah treated us to a fabulous lunch and wine! Thanks Verellen! We love the new addition  - Oliver the mastiff/ rottweiller. He needs a Bridget Beari Color named after him.

Here is there marilyn sofa - which we are doing a 10ft. one for our ATL job  - GORG!

Love these cube ottomans. The stitching details are perfection!

That beautiful Belgian linen slipcover look

The double flange detail - Love!

Did I mention they are making outdoor furniture now!!

They also had art from Belgium - we sold 4 paintings! Gorg!

We placed our orders and even a few for ourselves!

Next door is Texture Imports - we loaded down the Range Rover with Buddha's, tables, and votives.

Beautiful turtles for Mexico

Off to the Visual Comfort party only to find that Kelly was sick - So sad! Her new products were killer.

Loved the black textured sconces

Aerin Lauder had some beautiful pendants with stunning gold insides. Thomas O'Brien was even lurking around a corner in his area.

Next into Spicher and Company - the art reminded me of Kit Kemp, the London designer

The floorcloths were awesome!

Off to the Antique and Design Center with so much to see - Turkish pots, tea towels, blankets, throws, garden urns. This is my favorite place at market…..

We caught up with my friend MDD - Mary Douglas Drysdale and had dinner at Theodore Alexander. A nice sit down break.

Then off to the Baker party….

It was the Hollywood catwalk with pictures and celebrity guests. What a ball!

We ended the evening with cocktails at the Proximity Hotel and who arrived but Jeff Lewis, Gage, Jenny and gang! What a treat and that's just day 1. Wait for tomorrow's day 2 at Market!

First Day at HighpoInt Furniture Market

The Spring Highpoint Furniture Market has come and gone. It was a busy one - parties and seeing old friends but the best part was the fabulous finds…..

There were some new trends that stood out. Here they are…..

Wesley Hall - sheep fur with colored legs

Linen covered tables with nailheads

I was looking for a tall mirror for the Designer House - this was perfect from Jonathan Charles. Of course we stopped by the pub for a cocktail!

I loved these art piece for the walls

Natural Curiosities  - butterfly and feathers

Pigeon and Poodle  - gorgeous trashcans and bath accessories

Visual Comfort had some beautiful things by Aerin Lauder - look at these sconces!

I love the Antique and Design Center - so many things to love.

I bought these 1970's gold cocktail glasses - martini, red and white wine. Gold was big big big.

Beautiful pillows with great details

Turquoise was big too. See it here at Julian Chichester.

Multiple layers of trim was all over.

I loved meeting Mary McDonald at Chaddock. The classic lines, painted floor, trims, and classic shapes!

Beautiful trim details and fabrics at Verellen.

Check out the casual slipcover from Verellen! Beautiful linen fabrics.

Always a treat for the eye at Texture Imports! See this beautiful wood form used as a votive color. We bought a few pieces to bring home as well.

Benches

I also stumbled across these beautiful Tilton Fenwick fabrics on armless chairs at Wesley Hall. Floral prints were big this season.

Spending time with the Design Tourist from the Design Network!
Karen Le Blanc

Bold Colors!

Gold and white from Baker

Tables from Barry Dixon and Tomlinson - love the verdi and artichoke shape.

Roberta Schillings dove sculpture - perfect for our Mexico project!

This was the only the first day - Whew... what finds!

                             Stay tuned for day 2!
