Bridget Beari Color Rule #28

                                 Bridget Beari Color Rule:

Call it Mellow Yellow!

Yellow walls can brighten any mood but there are two tones to yellow - a blue tone or a red tone.

Blue tone yellows are cooler. A pale buttery yellow can acts as a neutral.

Painting furniture in yellow makes your eye immediately go to that piece. What a great impact!

Red tone yellows give a warm vibe. They bring playfulness and excitement to a room. If you limit the yellow to one tone as they did below for the walls and ceiling, it makes a bigger impact and unites the room.

Tip: Cleaning silver is a bear. Unfortunately I have inherited a lot of silver that needs polishing. I am always looking for an easy way. For this technique you line your sink with aluminum foil, add 1/2 cup salt, 1/2 cup baking soda and fill with hot water. Put silver in the sink and let it sit for 30 minutes. No more stained hands!

                                Happy Painting......
