Bridget Beari Color Rule #29

Bridget Beari Color Rule:

Create a more elegant neutral with Gray

Grays are close to white in the neutral family but they tend to give off a more elegant vibe. There are 2 types of grays - warm gray with a hint of yellow. These grays are more earthy.  The second type of gray is a cool gray with an undertone of blue. These grays are clean and crisp.

Cool grays are well paired with a crisp white for contrast.

Warm grays add light and warmth to a room. Notice the contrast from the gray room above to the room below. Two different feelings. The warm tones need more creams and neutrals instead of whites for their accent pieces. So next time your thinking about white lean to a gray for your neutral.

Sidebar: Ting A Ling A Ding Dong is the nickname I call my dog Madison. It came from this old song and also means looney or crazy.

Tip: I just started planting my herbs and veggies. Did you know that putting crushed egg shells and aspirin in the hole before you plant your tomato will help it grow stronger and yield more fruit?

Happy Painting.....
