Design Center Day

I spent the day at the Washington Design Center recently. I had not been in awhile but I needed approve colors on a custom Stark carpet . I used the day to find new sources and boy did I find some good ones!

In the Michael Cleary Showroom I found this fabulous new light source:

Rock crystal lamps and muted purple solid color sofas with soft pink and white floral pillows: 

At Hines, Hillard lamps. These might work great on the Mexico project!

I came back to the office with many new fabrics, carpet and trim samples. Just in time to create some new schemes for some new clients!

Lighting with Jonathan Browning

I found these super cool lights from Jonathan Browning. His style is a mixture of modern and early 20th century French which I love. The lines are clean and classic. The Holly Hunt showroom in DC carries the line as well as most of the other design centers. I can't wait to spec one of the sconces.

New Lighting Source

I am always on the look out for new sources to use in client's homes. I recently found this lighting company based in New Orleans called Julie Neill. Julie is also an interior designer who found it hard to find those one of kind pieces we all so desperately want. She decided to create and manufacture her own lighting. What a brillant idea!
