We were thrilled to be invited to participate in this years fundraising event for Housing Works in New York City called "Design on A Dime" Designers from around the country are asked to create vignettes that have at least a minimum of 30K worth of items. This is all to benefit people with HIV/Aids.
Our idea was to show off one of our Bridget Beari wallpapers. This time we chose Keebet, inspired from a concrete wall design in L.A. Our color way was metallic gold, grey and black.
We received some amazing donations from our fellow vendors:
Janus et Cie Forest chair, the white outdoor chair by the table
Osborne and Little: grey and white fabric that we upholstered the armless chairs in
Ufab: donated the upholstery
Kravet: the Greek Key fabric for the club chair
Stark Carpet: the sisal rug
Photography:
Made Goods: chandelier
Arteriors: lamps
Some things we had from the last Designer House. The mirrored panels were remade and used as hanging art. We used our Buscemi wallpaper pattern as art underneath.
Everything was packed and driven to NYC 2 weeks before the event. It all arrived unbroken even though the Uhaul door would not open when we got there and we were lost for hours trying to find the warehouse!
We were thrilled with the final result! After all the work setting up, the items were sold in a blink of an eye. The most popular items was the striped chairs!
We made some great new designer friends! Here are some of the other vignettes:
