InLight Richmond
If you missed the InLight celebration Friday night, you really missed out on a spectacular event. Despite the Hurricane rains, the event went on as planned. Crowds of people braved the weather to be a part of the event. 1708 Gallery hosted this event as a celebration of their 30 years as a non-profit art gallery in Richmond. The InLight concept was patterned after Nuit Blanche, a light inspired all night art exhibit in Paris.
The streets were blocked off to traffic from Belevidere to 1st Street. All the art was to be light inspired from projections onto buildings, a fashion show down the street, towering light sculptures, roving sculptures, dance performances, fiber option concrete sidewalk panels, and music.
Here are some images from the event:
What a fun and exciting new event for Richmond. Look for it next year and hopefully no hurricanes!
