Well I've made it to week 3 on the raw diet. Feeling good and people are noticing. The girl that helps with my garden work said " You look different - did you change your hair? " That's the sign that things are changing! 5 1/2 lbs gone.
It is snowing this morning in Virginia ( yes - snow in April, not good for the tulips ) and I have decided to make a few things for the week: raw brownies, veggie chili, kale salad and pizza dough.
The easiest recipe is the hemp brownies - 10 minutes max.
Here are the ingredients:
1/2 c. pecans - raw
1/2 c. heep seeds
1/2 c. dates
1/3 c. cacao powder
vanilla bean powder- 1 tsp.
cacao nibs - handfull
goji berries - handfull
pinch of salt
Mix the first 5 ingredients in the Cusinart.
Add the nibs, berries, salt and mix again
Spoon into flat glass container - I use my loaf pan. Refrigerate until firm.
Decorate, cut and serve up! Great with almond milk on the side.
