Bridget Beari Travels to Charlottesville!

I traveled up the road to Charlottesville. I love the antique stores along the mall and especially the ones on Ivy Road. My first stop was And George, a great accessory and home furnishings store. It is named after George the bulldog. I love that! Just like Bridget Beari.

Great accessories, Lee industries pieces, glass ware and more!

The next stop was The Ivy Nursery!

The pot selection was amazing! Beautiful colors. I ended up coming home with a succulent and a concrete pot - neutral of course!

Off to the Curious Orange - an odd name for a Antique shop but the owner was quite chatty. We realize we shopped in the same places and he knew some people in Richmond - small world.

Some really cool and unusual pieces along side traditional chests. His blog is a great way to follow his inventory - The Curious Orange Store

Further up the road was Mirabelle Antiques, a more traditional shop. American Federal, English and French pieces.

Next door was Joseph, Joseph & Joseph, great architectural pieces and stone pieces. On their website they even sell antique structures!

A quick stop at Food of All Nations for a drink and a sandwich!

It was an easy day in the mountains with purchases of 2 tortoise glass vases, cork bowl, 2 antique bar shakers, white bracelet, and 2 fun blouses from a cool dress store on the mall called, Verdigris. They had interesting jewelry from Brazil too.

If your traveling by Charlottesville, don't forget to stop on Ivy Road for all sorts of good treasures!

Happy Travels .........
