Raw in NYC!

On my last trip to NYC one of my primary goals was to eat at Pure Wine and Food and visit the One Lucky Duck Store. I love Sarma's cookbook. Her recipes are yummy, tasty and fairly easy to make. I have been eating raw for about 8 months then blew it. I wanted some inspiration to get started again. Raw food made me feel so much better  - more energy, less acid, better skin, wrinkles are gone!

The restaurant is located at 54 Irving Place.

This was our menu for the evening:

My first course: tomato/watermelon tartare. The pistachios tasted like pieces of bacon. Tons of flavor!

My husbands first course was the polenta. He said it was the best thing he had to eat for the whole NYC trip and he doesn't even eat raw!

His main course was tamales and mine was zucchini fettucini. Beautifully presented and tasty as well. I did not get a chance to photograph the strawberry shortcake we had for dessert because - well - we ate it before I realized a needed a photo!  YUMMY!

I can't wait for the new cookbook. Buy it now at Amazon!

or buy a T-shirt from One Lucky Duck!
